This year we’ve decided to put up some decor in the studio for the christmas season. Capiz parols and mini-lanterns are now lighting up the terrace, all the better for eating out there at night

This is what’s left of the very good pasta that we enjoyed by the end of a two-week work hell. Flat noodle lasagna in bechamel sauce to be exact :)

A piece done for the victims of Ondoy, and evidently on all the victims of Pepeng.
Kids are meant to play basketball on the streets. Last weekend, however, kids were drowning on the streets.
Typhoon Ondoy (International name: Ketsana) dropped 455mm of rainfall in the span of 24 hours, almost double that of Hurricane Katrina (250mm). Much of Manila was underwater, and scores of people died. The bodycount is still rising, as more bodies are discovered underneath the mud that is currently covering most of the severely affected areas.

THE Local Water Utilities Administration, a government-controlled corporation, held a "lavish" feast for its 36th anniversary Wednesday night, a virtual slap on the face of half a million Filipinos victimized by storm "Ondoy" who are scrounging for relief goods.

Un-fucking-believable. And the President even graced the event.

Ondoy Manila: Help for Typhoon Ondoy Victims

weirdcandy:

This site aggregates related information about this typhoon and the subsequent flooding to assist in understanding the serious impact of this natural disaster and to provide the most updated information for aid and relief efforts.

Come on and help! Last time we heard PNRC is running out of relief goods to repack. That is how much help is needed.

HOPE FOR THE FLOWERS ~ inspired by a book written by
Trina Paulus

A lot of Filipinos are in great mourning after Typhoon Ketsana/Ondoy ravaged our dear country. Families displaced, houses submerged in muddy floodwaters, properties beyond repair and lives of young and old are lost in their fight for survival and unheard cries for help.
Friends and our families included are not spared from this disaster…This is a little tribute to all of us who survived.
And for the donors, volunteers, rescuers who are putting their own lives at risk just to help a brother, you are a hero..

Ondoy, you fucking asshole.

Images from all around, depicting the massive damage of Typhoon Ondoy.

Our hearts go out to all the Pinoys severely affected by Typhoon Ondoy. Ondoy dropped 455mm of rainfall in the span of 24 hours, almost double that of Hurricane Katrina (250mm). If there’s anyone who can see this through, it’s us Filipinos, we can do this. Don’t lose hope!

For our part, we are going out today to do groceries and buy basic utilities that we can donate to Sagip Kapamilya, a foundation that will then deliver these goods to the flood victims.
